First Boat Ride

Last weekend, Daddy's buddy Travis and his wife Anne were back visiting his family. I So Saturday we went up to the lake for the day to visit. Which since they live right on Lake Sakakawea, I got to have my first boat ride with the guys. Here is a picture of me and daddy getting ready.

All of the guys, Travis is in the back, his nephew Dillon is in the front waving, his dad Clyde is driving and daddy and me are sitting back enjoying ourselves.


Oh Boy!!! What is the world are they thinking. All of us girls up at the house thought the golf cart was going to tip over. But it stayed right were it is at.

Travis's nephew Dillon let daddy and me take a spin on his 4 wheeler too while we were there.

Camping at Wylie Park

We went to Aberdeen, SD last weekend with a great group of friends and their families to Wylie Park Camp ground. We had such a great time and there is so much to do that John and I are planning to make this a regular destination.

Cooper had a great time playing with Laromey and Val's 18 month twin nephews, here is one of them on the table and I think the other one is running away from his grandma.

What a group, we had a great time. Thanks again for telling us about this great camping weekend

The Water Park

We took Friday to go to the water park in Aberdeen for a few hours. This was Cooper's first time getting to go swimming and he had a great time and didn't seem to mind the life jacket

okay so I might have gone a little overboard on protecting Cooper from the sun. But I think he is going to be fair skined like I am so I wasn't taking any chances of him getting a sun burn

We took Cooper on a few of the rides that are at Storybook Land, one was this great little train that goes around the whole amusement park

The Zoo and Storybook Land

The Wylie Campground has a zoo on its grounds in Storybook Land, so of course we had to check it out. Here are some nice Elk.

After visiting the Zoo it was off to the Wizard of Oz. Here Cooper and I are with Glenda the Good Witch and Dorothy

While at the Wylie Park Camp ground we took Cooper over to Storybook Land.

Firestation tour

While the guys were golfing we got to take a tour of one of the fire stations in Aberdeen, SD thats to Joel and Kris.

Garrett was the luck one that got to put on all of the gear, minus the breathing tank.

The Drive home from Camping!

So we had a bit of excitement on our drive home from Aberdeen, SD last weekend. Just outside of Jamestown one of our camper tires blew out. 45 min later we caught up with everyone in Steele, where Pete was also changing a tire on his camper. Corey and Laromy double checked theirs just to be safe! Well everything looked good and we were back on the road, only to be flagged down by some crazy lady(that is what was going through my mind when I saw her flapping her arms around) trying to get our attention to tell us that we had a flat tire. So as you can see, John and Corey are changing the second flat tire.

There really wasn't much left of this one. But thanks to Laromy and Val we were able to borrow their spare tire so that we could all get home. Did I mention that right before we noticed this flat we passed another camper on the side of the interstate changing a flat!
