Twins at 4 weeks

So the boys are now 4 weeks old. I can't believe how fast these past weeks have gone. They are growing and changing so much and are now starting to be more animated when they are awake. I took them to the Well Baby Clinic for their weekly visit and here are our new stats.
Hunter (in orange) weighs in at 7#8oz and is 20 inches long.
Conner (in blue) weighs in at 7#4oz and is also 20 inches long.

Both of the boys have gained over two pounds since they were born and Hunter has grown and inch were Conner has grown 2 inches and is doing a great job catching up.

This last weekend we decided to go camping with John's older sister and her family. This was the first camping trip in the new camper and the very first outing for the twins.
As you can see they are really enjoying the great outdoors.

Cooper had a great time playing with his cousin Taylor and roasting hotdogs and marshmallows with his older cousin Ashley and his Aunt Sue.

Here is a picture of our niece Taylor who is checking out Cooper's tricycle. The two of them play so great together and do a good job of sharing most of the time.

Cooper only had one melt down were he needed to go sit down and calm down before getting to play some more. All in all it was a great weekend and I can't say it enough but thanks for helping out with the little boys so that Cooper could have a great time camping.

Tummy time with the boys

Yesterday in between naps I tried to get the little boys doing some tummy time so that they can build up their neck muscles.
As you can see Conner is not a big fan on this and let me know about it too!

Hunter on the other hand really didn't think it was all that bad and seemed to enjoy looking around.

Then Cooper thought that he and mommy needed to do some tummy time too.

Hair Cut time!

Oh Boy!!! It is a good thing that Cooper had a hair cut appointment next Tuesday.

I asked him to say Cheese for the picture!

Happy Father's Day

This is how our house spent Father's Day on Sunday.

Yes. Cooper fell alseep just like this!

the first 2 weeks

Cooper has continued to be very helpful with his little brothers. He is always wanting to right in the middle of things. Here is a piture of him holding his baby brother Hunter.

Grandma Nee Nee (Melanie) had to get in a little more snuggle time with the boys before leaving last weekend. We had a great time with her here all week helping out. Can't wait for the next visit.

Here is the prud daddy with one of his boys. He and Hunter were trying to finish a bottle but it looks like we just ending up taking a nap instead!

Here is John with Hunter and Cooper. Just from these few pictures of the boys together it is safe to say I was just the carrier again!

Mommy and her 3 boys
The twins were 2 weeks old yesterday. I can't believe that it has already been 14 days since they were born. Here are a few stats from their check up.
Hunter
weight 6# 3oz
height 19inches
head 36 1/4

Conner
weight 5# 13oz
height 18 3/4 inches
head 33 1/2

Both the boys have gained almost a pound since leaving the hospital and continue to grow. They reached a small mile stone yesterday by no longer fitting into their premie outfits. They have moved up to newborns (with some room to spare)

Here are the boys playing on one of their activity mats. Hunter has the pacifier and for this picture they ended up holding hads.

Picture Day

My mom and I took the little boys to get their pictures taken for the first time last night. John and Cooper were supposed to come too, since we were going to get Cooper's 2 year pictures taken and then a few new family pictures. But Cooper ended up getting a rash all over his body and stayed home with Daddy. We'll get his pictures and our family pictures taken at a different time.
But here are just a few of the pictures that were taken of the boys.

Hunter is in the blue and white pajamas and Conner is in the brown and white pajamas.

Conner just trying to get some sleep during his pictures. He really didn't wake up until we were all done.

Hunter on the other hand didn't really care to have his picture taken but still ended up doing a really good job.

Visitors and the final escape!

After the boys were born we received our first visitors on Friday. Bill and Donna Fisher (Grandpa Bill and Grandma Donna) were the boys first visitors besides my parents to come see the boys. Bill has Hunter and Donna has Conner.

One of the proud grandma's. Here is my mom Grandma Nee Nee (Melanie) holding both of the boys. Hunter is on the left (blue stocking cap) and Conner is on the right (blue and white stocking cap).
The proud grandparets. John's mom and dad came shortly after Bill and Donna. Juggling two babies at once should be like riding a bike for Grandma Alice. The boys dad and thier Uncle Jim are also twins. It is fitting that Grandpa George is holding Hunter George and Grandma Alice is holding Conner Allen.

Here is another set of proud grandparents. My parents Grandpa George (Hunter's middle name was easy to come up with!) and Grandma Nee Nee (Melanie). With the arrival of these two little boys my parents are now the proud grandparents to 6 wonderful grandkids who are all under the age of 3!

Here is a picture of the boys together. Hunter is on the left and Conner is on the right.

All three of my boys. Cooper has really started to warm up to his little brothers and had been a huge help. Whether it is getting diapers or just coming over to give them kisses on their heads.
All three of the boys enjoying some sun. The twins really liked having the warm sun on them and Cooper really wanted to join in. So there is always room for the big brother to join in on the activity. The boys go from oldest to youngest in this picture. Cooper, Hunter and Conner!

Here is the proud big brother holding Conner and giving him lots of kisses.

May 31st "We made it!"

Well the twins finally arrived!
Hunter George and Conner Allen were born on May31st.
Hunter was born at 5:06pm weighing in at 5#9oz and was 19 1/4 inches long.
Conner Allen followed shortly after and was born at 5:39pm weighing in at 5#1oz and was 18 inches long.
Here is a picture of Hunter just after getting his first bath in the nursery.

Here is a picture of Conner just after being evaluated and getting ready for his first bath while back in the nursery.

I thought I'd better get a few pictures of the boys before we headed off to the hospital on Thursday.
Here they are from the front!
Here they are from the side!
All three of my boys! Cooper giving mommy's tummy a little tap. He stayed at the house with grandma "Nee Nee" and Grandpa George until later that afternoon. We weren't sure how long of a day it was going to be and didn't  want him to be cooped up in the hospital waiting room or in mommy's room.
